How does Round Top WiFi work?

Round Top WiFi provides fixed point wireless service where a small antenna is attached to the outside of your home/business which is pointed to our equipment on a nearby cell tower that securely connects you directly to the internet. From the outside radio, we run a cable into your home and connect to a wireless router. This allows you to connect your wired and wireless devices to the Internet, so everyone in your home can be online. We also secure (encrypt) the wireless router so others can’t access your internet.

What can I do with Round Top WiFi's service?

You can surf the internet with no down times, video chat/Skype with family & friends, stream TV/Movies with Netflix/Hulu/Apple TV/YouTube, etc., with no worries about data limits or overage charges.

Is Round Top WiFi wireless Internet as reliable as DSL Internet?

Yes! Our wireless internet is very reliable and our network is monitored 24/7. Because our equipment has the latest technology to enable strong signal, we are able to offer better signal strength and better reliability. Also, unlike satellite, which can lose signal during heavy rain, weather will not affect the wireless signal. However, because your internet requires electricity to operate, losing power will affect your internet. We recommend that all electronic devices be plugged into a surge protector to help prevent damage due to an electrical surge.

Does Round Top WiFi provide the router needed to connect to WiFi?

Yes!  The router is provider with our installation package and includes WiFi to connect all your devices and comes with a lifetime warranty and replacement. The customer can also provide their own router and our technician would be glad to configure it for you while onsite. Broadband routers can be purchased at any electronic store, including Best Buy and Walmart. Common brands are Netgear, TP-Link, Linksys and D-Link.

How does billing work?

When you initially sign up for service with Round Top WiFi, you are charged for installation and the pro-rated charge for internet service based on your plan.   Once you set up your account, you will be able to log in and pay your bill at your convenience, change your plan for increased speeds, and cancel service with a 30 day notice.  We generate invoices on the 1st day of the month.  If you have automatic billing set up on your account, we charge your card on the 5th of the month.  Invoices are considered late after the 15th of the month and service, if unpaid, will be terminated on the last day of the month.

How do I know if Round Top WiFi can provide service to my home or business in Round Top, Texas?

At this time, please submit your address and the plan that you want through our web contact form, email, or phone call and we will respond within 24 hours. We will be working on a site map so that you can visualize our serviceable areas which may encompass a wider area around Round Top.

Does Round Top WiFi provide service to Venues and Vendors at the spring & fall Round Top Antiques Week/Show?

Yes, depending on  the location.  We already service The Compound, Arbor Antiques, NorthGate & Bar W 's Cafes,  Market Hill , Bader Ranch, and Year Round free public WiFi in the downtown Round Top area .  If you are on a field/area that is not listed and would like service, please contact us and let us know!  We are always interested in growing our service area.

How do I upgrade my internet speed?

Login to "My Account" and you can upgrade your speed there or call us and we'll upgrade your speed within 24 hours. You can find "My Account" link on the menu bar at the top of the page.
